San Francisco, CA (January 31, 2008)…The West Coast’s top designers will remake one of San
Francisco’s largest residences at the 2008 San Francisco Decorator Showcase, running from April 26
through May 26, 2008. The four-story Italianate-style Pacific Heights mansion located at 2820 Scott Street
(between Green and Union Streets) boasts 16,000 square feet ofliving space, making it one of the largest
homes in the 31 years of the San Francisco Decorator Showcase.

Originally built in 1905, this “Palace by the Bay” was later customized for Her Royal Majesty Marie,
Queen of Romania (1875 – 1938), for her visit during the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition.
The exquisite home is fully renovated and updated for a modern lifestyle. It features a reception hall
that spans the entire width of the house, a grand ballroom, a new state-of-the-art kitchen, a grand
staircase accentuated with an exquisite Tiffany skylight, and an expansive rooftop terrace with sweeping
San Francisco Bay views from the Golden Gate Bridge to Alcatraz and beyond.

The San Francisco Decorator Showcase is widely considered to be the West Coast’s premiere show
house event, featuring the work of the region’s top designers. The San Francisco Decorator Showcase is
an annual benefit for San Francisco University High School’s financial aid program. Since the first Showcase
in 1977, nearly $10 million has been raised, benefiting hundreds of Bay Area students.
